Final installment of fighting week here on The Rise To The Top!

“The Irish Outlaw” Ryan Coyne (16-0 6 KO’s) will be fighting undefeated David McNemar looking to take the title from Guillermo Jones (37-3 29 KO’s) in St. Louis on June 25th on HBO.

About Today’s Guest, Ryan Coyne:

In his own words:

Ryan CoyneI found boxing as a second love, so to speak. Coming out of high school I was a heralded football recruit. I went to the University of Missouri to pursue a Division 1 football career. A football career wasn’t in the cards for me, and after leaving Mizzou I wandered into the boxing club to continue my athletic aspirations. While working part time and attending college full time, I made boxing my true full time endeavor. After a brief and successful four year amateur career, I set my sights to the professional ranks where I look to make Ryan Coyne a household name and inspiration for everyone who believes in second chances.

Last year I got the opportunity of a lifetime to be on the boxing reality show The Contender. I found myself living and fighting with 16 of the best cruiserweights in the world far from the confines of home in the island nation of Singapore. After winning both of my fights in the tournament and fighting successfully into the semifinals of the tournament, I had the misfortune of being medically disqualified with a nasty cut above my eye from a head butt in a brutal victory against Brockton brawler Tim ‘The Hammer’ Flamos(20-4).

My success on The Contender caught the eye of legendary promoter Don King who recently signed me to a multi-year promotional contract.
