So, I gave a hint last week on Facebook. Here is what I said:

“Hint on the new The Rise To The Top format debuting one week from Thursday…it focuses on a word that rhymes with ‘raining”.”

Lots of funny responses to that, including “complaining” and “dance-aining”.

The answer is: TRAINING.

Here’s what’s up. You are freaking busy. I’m freaking busy. We have mediapreneur empires to build. So, I was thinking, what will be the MOST VALUABLE use of your time when you decide to come spend it with me every Thursday for The Rise To The Top (and of course DSG TV on Monday’s, but we are talking The Rise To The Top here)?

And the answer is: Learning something useful that you can implement right away in your biz.

What I’ve done for the new format of The Rise To The Top is recruit the very best fluff-free experts (and doers) to come on and teach us all something awesome (and very specific) using a combination of slides, website examples, and other visual aids.ย All focusing on building your platform, growing your audience and subscribers, and/or making the bling bling (revenue).

And because we have our kick-butt sponsor Citrix Online, this training is staying FREE (even though about 383458 of my friends said I should be charging for it because it is high quality and super useful). If we lose our sponsor one day, we will talk. ๐Ÿ™‚

Without further ado, welcome to the new format.

Today, I’m joined by Liz Lockard. She is a self-described Google Analytics “chick” who loves helping mediapreneurs not just get more traffic to their sites, but more of the *right* kind of traffic. And, as a bonus, stop wasting time and money on marketing that’s not working.ย And in today’s training, she shows us:ย How to Increase Your Conversions, Save Money, and Stop Wasting Time on Shoddy Marketing (with Google Analytics).

Watch it below (and looking forward to your feedback)!

Free Video Training Series is here!

At last, my friends, it is here (cat is out of the bag after over 8 months in the making). FREE VIDEO TRAINING SERIES: How to turn your ONLINE PLATFORM (blog, web show, podcast, etc) into REVENUE by creating your own ONLINE COURSE. The first video is “5 Steps to Creating a Course That SELLS” and is the exact strategy I used to generate six-figures with my Create Awesome Interviews course. Nab it right here.

  1. I really like this format David! I like that you’re mixing it up ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. David Siteman Garland says:

Thanks Heidi. I love visuals and I know lots of other folks do as well.

  2. Lakesha Brown says:

Yes, definitely enjoyed this format and look forward to more of these “training” style vids! You’re awesome David! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. David Siteman Garland says:

      Glad you enjoyed LB!

  3. Tim Davies says:

Hey David, I’m not quite sure on the new format yet. What I loved about the old format was the random pieces of wisdom that you’d somehow be able to extract from guests in the past – that made the whole conversation worth listening to. This time, I saw the Google Analytics death-by-powerpoint and sort of tuned out before I tuned in. That said, I’m sure there’ll be some topics in the future I’m new to be which im totally engrossed by – and you’re still a friggen rock star.

    1. David Siteman Garland says:

Tim – Definitely not everything is going to be for everyone. My guess is some topics will be a fit for you and others might not me. Appreciate the feedback.

    2. Staci Gingery says:

      Hey Tim and David –
Have to kinda agree with Tim, while it was useful, I just can’t get enough of the funny antidotes that only David can come up with! But mixing it up with different formats – new and old – is a great way to keep things interesting! Thanks for always producing awesome content, David!

      1. David Siteman Garland says:

Hey guys! Don’t worry there will still be plenty of the old style as well. I promise ๐Ÿ™‚

        1. Tim Davies says:

Awesome. Problem is, too many people (like myself) have a digital ‘crush’ on you – not in a stalker way – just r-e-s-p-e-c-t. Keep it up and thanks for the awesome content.

          1. David Siteman Garland says:

Haha, all good Tim. Man love back at ya. I’ll make sure to mix up the episodes for sure ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. David, this is a great format. I really learned some useful stuff from this video. The audio did seem a little out of sync with the video during the interview, but it was still easy to understand. Looking forward to more interviews! Thanks for doing this.

    1. David Siteman Garland says:

Yah, I noticed that but good thing the video isn’t very important except to see us ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Galina says:

There is a lot of stuff for me to implement here so I will have to go back to this interview again. I finally installed Google Analytics!!! Thank you, guys!

  6. Christopher Stafford says:

Awesome format David, really like the new training angle, makes alot of sense (even tho I wasn’t into the topic). Mixing it up man, love it!

  7. Definitely a good decision to mix it up occasionally. Learned a lot from this one. Thanks!
