I always love guests with accents. Maybe it is because I wish I had one.
Anyway, Danny Brown is….hmmm…how to describe him….interesting. Yes, interesting.
Here is a bit about him in his own words:
Co-Founder and Partner at Bonsai Interactive Marketing, offering social media, digital and mobile marketing solutions and applications. I’m also the Founder of the 12for12k Challenge, a community-driven social media charity initiative to connect globally and help locally, that’s raised over $100,000 since inception in 2009.
My blog is featured in the AdAge Power 150 list, as well as Canada’s Top 50 Marketing Blogs, and won the Hive Award for Best Social Media Blog at the 2010 South by South West festival. I’ve worked with some of the biggest companies in technology, digital and consumer, including RIM, Microsoft Canada, IBM, Ford Canada, FedEX, Scotiabank and LG Electronics. I’ve spoken at TEDx and am regularly quoted in publications and news media, including Marketing Magazine, Canadian Marketing Association, Philadelphia Inquirer, Life & Style Magazine and City News Toronto. I currently live and work in Burlington, Canada, where Bonsai Interactive offers creative solutions to marketing, digital, and mobile programs.
Quite a resume! I invited Danny on the show tell us his story (way beyond the bio) and teach us all his keys to success. Including:
- How this ALL got started.
- Danny’s business model.
- Danny’s keys to marketing and promoting yourself (of course this means relationship building as well).
- Why social media has been Danny’s drug of choice.
- How he has leveraged media and speaking.
- …and much more.
As always, hop into the conversation in the comments and leave your $.02. We all want to hear from you.
