If I were to sum up today’s guest in one word, it would be inspiring. Greg Hartle was a successful entrepreneur struck with a life threatening disease. Instead of giving up or trying to go back to “the way things were”, he rebuilt his life by redefining his purpose and moving forward.
His project Ten Dollars and a Laptop is a combination of interesting/inspiring/challenging/brilliant and probably many more adjectives could fit the bill. Greg has sold all of his possessions and hit the road in search of excitement with, just as it sounds, $10 and a laptop.
In this interview, he tells his story. Enjoy!
About Today’s Guest, Greg Hartle:
Greg Hartle has a decade of entrepreneur experience and is the founder of Ten Dollars and a Laptop. He’s the owner or investor in over a dozen businesses and strategic adviser to nearly a dozen more. His investment portfolio includes everything from organic farms, service businesses, retail stores, manufacturing, construction companies, and commercial real estate re-development projects, amongst others.
Greg was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up in Arizona. Most recently, he lived in sunny San Diego. He loves red wine, micro-brews, exploring music, and reading. Greg is very active athletically, including marathons, triathlons, basketball, and snowboarding. He enjoys studying psychology, physics, health, fitness, history, and economics.
Greg is passionate about social good projects like The Adventure Project and Charity:Water. Ultimately, he’s just a dude who likes to experiment and share what he learns.
