Today on The Rise To The Top: I know I said we were wrapping up the “learn how to do cool stuff” series (which we are) and getting back to awesome interviews with successful peeps, but this was a topic I couldn’t pass up because it is SO valuable. Hiring a coach. There are amazing success stories and disaster stories. How do you do it right? Justin Lukasavige, President of Lukas Coaching, is in the house today for a discussion on what to do and what not to do. Enjoy!

    1. David Siteman Garland says:

Absolutely, John trust is critical in everything. Glad you enjoyed it!

    2. Thanks, John. I almost wish you could hire coaches from Amazon. The reviews don’t lie.

  1. Thanks for the interview David! Nice timing, I am actually in the market for a business coach. I hope that Justin won’t be too busy to help me out! Hope you are well.

    1. I’m looking forward to talking, Geordie. I’m never too busy to help.

      1. Thanks Justin, we’ve been in touch. Have fun in NYC, and hope to catch up with you when you get back.

  2. Rob Orr says:

Great show with my man Justin Lukasavige! Really great advice – looking forward to adding more coaches myself

  3. Great info shared in this interview, David and Justin. I’m a social media coach and am always looking for ways to improve my clients’ experiences, and I learned a lot here. Kudos!

  4. Alex K says:

Great interview. I’m interested on how do you folks see coaching becoming a more ‘globalized’ and remote industry – i.e do you compromise quality with going online and if not, how do you market to audiences from different countries/timezones.

    1. David Siteman Garland says:

       Your test has worked 🙂

  5. I wanted to come back and thank you both again for the interview. Since watching this, I have purchased and read Justin’s book, “Become a Coach” and as of this week have also hired him as my own business coach to help me take my coaching business to the next level. I’m very much looking forward to implementing and learning from Justin in the weeks (possibly months) ahead.

As a sidenote, I just bought your book too David! I plan to start reading it next week when I finish Seth Godin’s “Poke the Box”. 🙂
