Thanks David, great interview, tons of tips.

    1. David Siteman Garland says:

      Thanks Brian!

  2. Hi David,

Thanks for mentioning that this is one of your favorite interviews that you EVER done.

Because you said that, I pay attention for every minute of it and darn, I get this huge lesson.

This is my awakening lesson from the interview:

The number 1 reason why we have done so well this year is because I have stopped listening to what other people said on what I should be doing.

I had this plan in place.
I had been doing my homework.
I had all of this information in front of me.
I could pull the trigger on it a year ago. I just didn’t have the confidence.

The only person you should listen to is yourself.
    You know what to do.
Just stop the noise. Stop all the meetings. Stop all the lunches.
Everytime you have lunch with somebody, you’re wasting time.
Roll over your sleeve and start writing your darn program.

This is huge for me. I totally can relate to what she said.

    Thanks David. You’re awesome 🙂

    1. David Siteman Garland says:

      BOOM! Huge takeaway

  3. Really loved this interview – especially that it came from another creative’s perspective who is also an entrepreneur. I thought it was interesting that the word “platform” was mentioned multiple times since that is actually the word I’m building my brand off of – that focuses on creative people. I loved hearing about both traditional and newer/digital sides of her business as well. Thanks for the interview David and Kris.

    1. David Siteman Garland says:

      Absolutely. GREAT word.

  4. Melodee Forbes says:

This was a great interview, David! I can see part of the reason why Kris
Carr is so successful, you can see her heart and it’s so genuine. My
favorite takeaway- stop listening to everyone else and follow your own
    voice & heart. ♥ this interview! #TopFavorite

    1. David Siteman Garland says:

      Definitely amazing advice. #topfavoritetoo

  5. Jason Gracia says:

A little late watching this one, but I really enjoyed it. There’s a streak of cancer in my family, so to see someone transform a potentially devastating prognosis into a source of inspiration is…inspiring. (And the fact that she built an expert brand around it rocks!) Awesome interview.
