This week has been a bit of a tough one. A few fun facts about the week…

-Sunday night I thought I was just a little worn out from guys weekend, but turns out I either got some kind of food poisoning/stomach bug or both and have been out of commission all week.

-On Tuesday, Amy Porterfield and I were supposed to do a LIVE Hangout with you guys, but unfortunate luck struck again as Amy had a death in the family. We tried to do the Hangout anyway with me being super sick and Amy in an airport lounge, but connectively issues killed the cat and it became apparent about 20 mins in…it just wasn’t going to work.

And I feel terrible because so many of you showed up live.

But don’t worry, despite being unshowered and in bed for a few days I’ve crawled over to the computer because I never, ever want to leave you hanging.

See, we had three goals for the Hangout:

1. Share the behind-the-scenes of our recent multiple 6-figure product launches (with the hope that you pick up some great tips that you can use)
2. Answer your questions
3. Invite you to attend our limited seating online workshop coming up on August 15th

Well, I can knock out a few of those today.

I put together a special mini-lesson for you where I share a bunch of the behind-the-scenes details of the Create Awesome Online Courses Launch, especially our traffic strategies.

Also, as mentioned, Amy and I are hosting a crazy cool limited seating (seriously limited) workshop on August 15th (and if you can’t make it, no worries- we will have a recording for you).

You can check out all the details about the workshop right here

If you are interested in the workshop, definitely nab your seat now, as I know Amy is about to blast it out to about 50,000 people and seats are gonna be gone like (trying to think of a joke but can’t)

I use RISE partner Wistia for video hosting because they rock. Check ’em out.

When it comes to doing webinars, we all want the same thing. Something that works and doesn’t take some kind of technical genius to run the darn thing. I’ve tried them all and GoToWebinar is by FAR THE BEST. I reached out to the good peeps at Citrix Online (creators of GoToWebinar) and they have a special deal for RISE nation. Head over to and enter the promo code RISE for 45 days free.

  1. Carsten says:

You are right. Paid Traffic is the way it goes 😉 But I saw you also advertised on the Google Display Network, right?

    1. Yup, I wanted to focus this vid on the launch, but absolutely we started a remarketing campaign after launch on Google Display Network

      1. Carsten says:

That’s why I got your ad on a fitness video 😀

  2. Mike says:

    Great info!

    Few questions:

    1. What percentage of customers paid the 1 Payment Option vs the 12 Payment Option?

    2. What was the Sales Conversion Rate? How many people started the video series vs how many purchased?

    1. Data still coming in and I’ll make sure to share

  3. angela says:

Hi David! How does the workshop differ from Amy’s FB Ad product? Will it be redundant?

    1. Hi Angela- That is definitely an “amy question” I’d reach out to her about that

  4. John says:

How to send facebook ads to squeeze pages? It’s against their policy.

    1. ummm not true I think you are thinking of Google 😉

  5. Jason Gracia says:

    Hey D!

Thanks for putting this together for us. Some gurus make launches out to be the most complicated monsters this side of the Mississippi, but you’ve made it clear as cake (if, of course, your cake is made out of really clean glass).

I’m curious, how did you get your new subs to watch the videos in sequence if they signed up after the launch was rolling? Different URLs for each additional video release? (I.E., URL #1 only offered the first video, URL #2 offered the first and second, etc.)

Thanks again and hope you’re feeling better!

  6. David–did you use Lead PAges to set up your video series sequence, or did you just have your developer make pages…or something else?? Thanks and great job!

    1. Leadpages was the opt in page then just wordpress created by my developer/designer for video pages
