I mean, really, who doesn’t like a good story? I know I do. But, did you ever think the art (and science?) of storytelling could be made into a full-fledged business?

Michael MargolisEnter today’s guest, Michael Margolis, Founder of Get Storied – which is described as “The Business of Storytelling: Trends, Articles & Resources for Change.” It is an online resource centered around storytelling and it is doing quite well.

Think about this for a second. Just 10 years ago (or maybe less) something like this would not have been possible. Now, thanks to new and social media, people like Michael have a voice AND a business. So do I. And so do you.

In this interview, I asked Michael to go into detail and walk us through his experience, including:

  • Where the idea came from and how it got started (very interesting, unexpected story).
  • How it started with a *bang* right out of the gates.
  • The revenue model and how it has evolved.
  • How he operates his business (Are there many employees? Partners?).
  • The keys to marketing and promoting the Get Storied content.
  • …plus much more.

And make sure to check out the Reinvention Summit November 11th – 22nd. It’s an online event of awesome all centered around storytelling and how it applies to your business/life/etc. You can grab a ticket right here (affiliate link).

As always, hop into the conversation in the comments and leave your $.02. We all want to hear from you.
