The two big questions:

#1: If shows were posted at the SAME TIME every time a new show is posted (i.e. 10 AM CST) would you be more likely to check the site more often because you knew when the episodes were going to be released?

#2: Right now, RISE is on a Tuesday/Thursday schedule, but debating stepping up to Monday, Wednesday, Friday as there are SO many great upcoming guests. Your thoughts?

Hugs and kisses,

David

  • I enjoy your interviews, but merely HAPPEN onto them. You tell me. I’ll look out for them.

    peace love & barbecue,

      Got it. Appreciate it!

  • Esgale

As long as you keep the great content, I don’t care when you post them.

      Thanks!

  • I’m with Esgale on this one – I don’t care too much about the schedule post time. However, 3 days a week would be pretty awesome! 🙂

  • 1) no. I jump through to the site when I see something I want to take a closer look from the RSS feed
    2) the more the merrier!

    • David Siteman Garland

Sounds good, J. Thanks for the thoughts.

  • 1 – having a consistent time for the videos would be nice and I bet it would help increase site traffic at those times, but I’m not sure if it would be completely necessary since the videos are on-demand

2 – if you had 3 videos a week, it would be amazing

keep up the awesomeness David 🙂

    • David Siteman Garland

      Thanks, Bradley!

  • Al Pittampalli

I think consistency in general is almost always the right answer. If Two and a Half Men didn’t show up at the same time every week, it wouldn’t have the viewership it did. Sure, many of your viewers watch on demand, but they could still do that, even with a regular schedule. Not to say it’s easy, I have trouble with this myself, but if you can do it, go for it David! Keep up the great work BTW.

    • David Siteman Garland

Very good point, Al. I have similar thoughts. I know folks watch all the time (On Demand) but it would keep my butt on track on also just create a bit more consistency.

  • Would knowing the time a video was to be released, make me check the site more often?  Nope.  I normally check twitter for the  new interviews.

Although I would prefer either MONDAY or FRIDAYs.  Tuesday and Thursday also works for me.

    Dan

    • David Siteman Garland

That makes sense, Dan. Appreciate the thoughts.

  • First and foremost David, congratulations on hitting 300 interviews 🙂

We all know content is king and creating 3 interviews a week would always
help drive more traffic and more engagement. It’s a win-win scenario.

Either way, you still provide great VALUE !!

    • David Siteman Garland

      Thanks, John!

  • I personally feel the scheduling would have no impact on my viewing habits.

I’m a casual viewer that likes to pick out and watch specific interviews that relate to my specific needs or interests.

The most important thing for me would be to get the news feeds that informs me of the latest interviews-helping me be more efficient in my viewing times. I hope that information helps, keep up the great work, you rock! ps.I am subscribing to the news feed as I write this (can’t believe I haven’t done that yet haha).

    • David Siteman Garland

That makes sense (and thanks for subscribing!)

  • David,

I’m a big fan, but mostly from your book which was great. I selectively choose the interviews that I want to see based on their relevance and interest that I personally might have. If you changed your schedule from 2 to 3 times a week, it wouldn’t impact my viewing at all. Speaking as blogger, I know that it would likely end up being a LOT more work for you, that would be my only consideration as I recently went from posting 3 times a week to 2 and it freed up a lot more time to focus on other aspects of my business. You are a successful guy, newly married, keep the balance my man because I know you are already a hard worker, and save time for a follow up book, you’re a great writer as well.

You asked for opinions, just giving you mine.

    Geordie

    • David Siteman Garland

Geordie – Thanks so much for the insights. Definitely something to think about and I appreciate it!

  • I get email notifications (how retro of me) of new episodes, which triggers me to go watch…so changes in scheduling wouldn’t impact my viewing at all.  BTW, I love the new mixture of guests from all different categories; it’s cool to get such a wide perspective on success.

    • David Siteman Garland

Thanks for the feedback, Rosemary. And glad you are enjoying the randomness as much as I am!

  • The scheduling likely wouldn’t have a big impact on my viewing habits, but I like the idea of posting the interview around 10 or 11 in the am so you can get the buzz going an hour or two before hand.  I’ve been posting my RockStar Interviews at 5am every Tuesday and Thursday, but think I may change it and see what happens with views.

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday…  That’s a lot of interviews.  I feel like I work my ass off just to get 2 up a week.  If you go with 3/week I would commit to it for 3 or 4 months to see how it works.  However, I feel like it may be over doing a great thing.  Having interviews in the can would Rock and give you some breaks from time to time.

Love the show and everything you’re doing David…  keep Rocking brother…
