Making Your Own Simple RulesIn an interview last week on the show, Adarsh Menon discussed making his own business rules and applying them to any creative business he gets involved in.

Here are his rules:

1. No physical products.
2. Automation. People can buy and use his products without someone needing to be there.
3. No management of employees.
4. Only create things he would use himself.

Sure, it took him time, energy, success, failure and experimentation to develop his rules. That’s the hard part.

But now, he can make decisions based on just a few simple principles.

Sounds like something we could all do.

What are your rules?

  • I’m pretty much the same way, if I don’t use it then I would never promote it to others..why promote something you don’t love.

I liked that interview. And I luv that u put these rules up here. I think those are great and define exactly what I want to create. The 5th rule for me would be “subscription” based. I want to offer something with a long tail. I would like to have a 100 life long cutomers then constantly trying to land The Heavy Hitters. Good stuff David.
